Go-To Holiday Dishes
It’s so easy to get into a cooking rut, especially during the holidays.
This year I pulled out my special weapon:
TWITTER!
I asked my followers to help me out by telling me their favorite go-to holiday dishes. If anything, I thought, hearing about what others love to make (and eat) during the holiday season would give me more ideas for our Christmas feasts. Yes, I said feasts!

Koogali is my fav. I have recipe somewhere on my blog. It’s a Lithuanian potato dish, kinda the Gentile version of kugel. {Recipe for Koogali}

@jenbshaw shared a scrumptious and easy crock-pot creation:

A holiday meal is incomplete w/o Sister Schubert’s yeast rolls. Sure, I could make them, but that’s not how DH likes them!
See? That’s the power of Twitter! Because of a couple simple tweets, asking for suggestions, I have added a bunch of these sweet and savory ideas to my holiday menu. Thank you Twitter friends!
Now I turn it over to you, Dear Readers! Link me some of your favorite holiday yumm-dilly-yummy recipes.

It’s not a holiday recipe, but what I look forward to every year is my dad making breakfast. But every Christmas morning, my dad makes breakfast (which is the only day of the year that he cooks EVER), scrambled eggs, bacon and toast/english muffins.
YUM! I am now starving. Total food porn!
Ohhh, there are some terrific dishes here! Bookmarking for future reference.
The EASIEST holiday (or any day) dish is my Green Beans in the Crock:
1-2 mega large can of French cut green beans
1-2 jars of real bacon pieces
Dump.
Heat.
Eat 8 hours later.
